A whole different kind of celebrity

When I think of what constitutes for celebrity and glamour in this day and age, I often get quite frustrated....  Most of them I've never heard of because they are barely teenagers who seem to be on some tv show or other that caters only to that age group. So many of them behave badly, and yet, everyone seems to like to watch their mis-steps.....

In the days of old Hollywood, women were still graceful, beautiful and glamourous.  Dressing up was done with style and panache.  Celebrities earned your respect and many received iconic status as a result.. Even with the problems some stars had in this era, I still can't equate them to how I see the new generation of  "stars" behaving. Can you imagine any current celebrity having the same staying power as Jean Harlow or Marlene Deitrich?  I think not......
